Self-Care Yoga for Social Workers

Social Work Yoga with Mindful Detroit & NASW-MI

Join Caitlin Brown, LMSW, E-RYT 200, for a morning of self-nurturing yoga practices to help prevent burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. Learn specific practices such as postures, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, self-compassion and mindfulness, that can help bolster resilience and compassion satisfaction in our work as social workers. This supportive practice is perfect for those brand new to yoga and is also great for those who want to deepen their existing yoga practice.

Non-social workers also welcome but themes will be geared towards social workers. The classes could be helpful if you are dealing with burnout, work in a helping profession or just need to destress!

Please bring a yoga mat, although a few extras will be provided.
