Queer Yoga

Do you identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community? Are you interested in exploring queer identity and creating queer community while practicing yoga?

This program is for you if you want to:

  • Practice yoga in a queer-only, brave* space where you can fully explore and share your queer identity and all aspects that make you who you are

  • Create a support network of other queer yoga practitioners to share tools and care for one another on our journeys of self-exploration

  • Deepen your yoga practice (and put a queer twist on it!)

  • Lessen anxiety and burnout while increasing energy, connection, joy, and confidence

  • Learn self-care tools to help you reduce harm from a cis-het world and increase queer joy

The group will include individual and group sessions, held in-person in Metro Detroit. 2023 dates TBD.

Group sessions will include not only yoga asana (movement), but also time for discussion and connection, pranayam (breathwork), mantra (chanting), mudra (hand positions), meditation, and study of yoga concepts (there might also be a dance party or two!)

*I use “brave” versus “safe” because a safe space can’t be guaranteed. Instead I ask that we support one another while encouraging a safer space
